The Journal of Criminal Law and Criminology, in collaboration with the Center on Wrongful Convictions, is sponsoring the 2019 LCLC Symposium Revisiting Voluntariness: Seeking Clarity in the Era of False Confessions. The symposium features scholars, experts, and practitioners from across the country who will discuss the changing legal landscape with regard to the voluntariness of confessions, involving both adults and juveniles. The day includes a panel on implicit bias. This free event is approved for 5 Illinois general CLE credits. Registration is recommended but not required.
