What is this?
The Gault Center's South Central Region presents a training series this month focused on transfer best practices.
This session will explore the use of expert witnesses in juvenile court proceedings, specifically in defending certification, waiver, and transfer hearings. Ethical considerations for attorneys, as well as best practices for how to use experts in juvenile court, will be covered.
This session is presented by Walter Stokely (District Defender, KC Children's Defense Team, Co-Director of the South-Central Region) and Dr. Jason Lawrence (Certified Forensic Examiner and Postdoctoral Training Director, Missouri Department of Mental Health)
