In anticipation of a wave of resentencing hearings post-Buffer and to further explore other recent Illinois decisions exploring the reach of Miller in Illinois, the Children and Family Justice Center and the Illinois Juvenile Defender Resource Center is sponsoring a free day-long seminar next month on the nuts and bolts of litigating sentencing hearings, re-sentencing hearings, and post-conviction petitions for youth facing and serving lengthy sentences in adult court.
