About this event

The Center for Trauma Recovery and Juvenile Justice (CTRJJ) and the Center for the Treatment of Developmental Trauma Disorders (CTDTD) are hosting a webinar focused on trauma treatment services for youth experiencing juvenile justice system involvement. This upcoming session focuses on the challenges and opportunities during a youth’s first engagement and demonstrates strategies for responding when a youth is activated or triggered by routine questions.

This session is relevant for mental health professionals working with youth, as well as judges, lawyers, juvenile detention staff, and probation officers who conduct youth interviews. Attendees will gain insight into responding effectively to youth with complex trauma histories and can observe how trauma-informed practices shape first engagements.
