About this event
Join Advancing Real Change and presenter Dr. Antonio E. Puente as he shares how defense teams can improve their ability to protect the rights of all individuals by understanding the need for culturally competent experts.
As the legal system’s landscape becomes increasingly diverse, the need for culturally competent experts on defense teams has never been more critical. Legal professionals, including defense attorneys, investigators, and experts, should be equipped to navigate the complex intersections of culture, identity, and the criminal legal system. This webinar will highlight the importance of integrating culturally competent experts who can provide crucial insights into the experiences, behaviors, and biases that may affect a case, and how these experts can support teams in advocating for equitable outcomes for their clients.
